Ultra-Thin Asphalt Overlays

An Ultra-Thin Asphalt Overlay is a densely graded asphalt mix designed to provide a thin wearing surface. This treatment helps preserve the pavement structure, significantly reduces road noise, and delivers an exceptionally smooth finish.

Placed with a conventional asphalt paver at a thickness of approximately 1/2” to 1”, the mix is then compacted using a steel wheel roller. For better results, it can be combined with other treatments, such as crack seals and chip seals, to effectively address existing surface cracks.
